The Teton County Victim Services Program is funded by contributions from the Town of Jackson , Teton County , Victims of Crime Act administered by the Department of Justice, and surcharge funds collected through the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office Division of Victim Services. Local contributions or donations are used to provide emergency assistance to victims of violent crime.
Balanced and Restorative Justice
The Victim Services Program collaborates with Teton Youth and Family Services and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide the option for face-to-face meetings between juvenile offenders and the victims of their crime. These meetings promote victim healing, juvenile accountability and repair of harm to the victim and the community.
The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole awarded funding to Victim/Witness in 2005 to help provide victims of crime the opportunity for a face-to-face meeting with the juvenile offender and to support volunteer recruitment and training of facilitators for the meetings.
