Law Enforcement Torch Run

Teton County Law Enforcement will be hosting a 5K Law Enforcement Torch Run or Walk on Saturday, May 23rd beginning at 12:20pm in the Jackson Hole Middle School (map) parking lot. Proceeds benefit Wyoming Special Olympics. Law enforcement torch runs are held throughout the State of Wyoming during the month of May, until now, Jackson/Teton County was one of the few law enforcement agencies that did not participate in the state-wide event. Although, I elected not to do an actual “torch run”, the 5K run/walk or ride is the same concept.

Please consider participating in one of the following:

  • 5K fun walk: begins at 12:20pm on Saturday, May 23rd at the JHMS
  • 5K run: begins at 12:30pm on Saturday, May 23rd at the JHMS
  • Criterium bike race: begins at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 23rd at the JHMS
  • Family fun bike ride: begins at 10am on Sunday, May 24th in Grand Teton National Park (registration for this event will be available on Saturday at the JHMS)

The cost for regestration is $20.00 if they pre-register for the run/walk or $25.00 on race day.

To register for the 5K run or walk please contact Cynthia Riedel or Michelle Weber at the Jackson Police Department for a registration form, (or download form here: Registration Form) and please return to the Jackson Police Department. There is also a liability release form (Liability Form) to fill out and turn in with the registration form. You cannot participate in the run without the release form.
