Collision Records

If you are involved in a traffic crash in which any party is injured or there is property damage to an apparent extent of $1,000 or more (W.S. 31-5-1106), you must file an Owner/Operator's Traffic Accident Report". (This report is not the same as the report taken by the investigating officer at the crash scene {Investigator’s Crash Report}).

To obtain a copy of an Investigator’s Crash Report.  Send your request to Accident Records.  Include the driver’s names(s), date of the crash, county and a $3.00 check or money order made payable to Wyoming Department of Transportation.  Certified copies are $5.00.

If you are/were a defendant or victim in a case and would like to obtain a copy of your police report, please contact:

We maintain records in accordance with Wyoming State Retention Schedule Statutes. We are authorized to disseminate police report information to other agencies. We are not however, authorized to release police reports to defendants or to the general public under any circumstances. These records are confidential and not for public release.

WINTER MAINTENANCE OF STREETS

 

No overnight parking on Jackson streets and in public parking lots from November 1 through April 15
Even if it doesn’t snow.

Looking for your car?

Call the Jackson Police Department at 733-1430 during normal working hours or dispatch at 733-2231 nights and weekends. Verify that your vehicle has been towed by the Police Department. You’ll need to then, bring either check or cash , to the Town Hall at 150 East Pearl Avenue.

You will have three options:

• Pay for the entire amount they owe at the time they pick up their vehicle. This includes citation bond(s) and tow. This amount may vary.
• Pay only the $75 for the tow bill , and pay the citation bond(s) via mail or at the Town Hall during business hours
• Pay for only the tow ($75) and dispute the citation by
• Attending Municipal court on their scheduled court date Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., or
• Writing a letter to the Municipal Court

An officer will assist you in retrieving your vehicle.
