FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March, 4, 2009 Contact: Detective Kevin Jones Police Department seeks help in locating hit-and-run vehicle On the morning of March 4, 2009 at around 5:40 a.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a person hit by a vehicle. This collision occurred at the intersection of South Park Loop and Highway 89, near the Maverick County Store. At the scene, they learned that a man, who is in his mid 20s, had been struck and seriously injured. The driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene southbound on Highway 89 towards High School Road. The vehicle description given by the victim was a white pick-up truck without a camper. A witness describes the vehicle as a full size, light colored truck with a truck rack in the bed. The witness also described the truck as having out of state plates. The victim was later flown by life flight to Salt Lake City for further treatment.
