FOUND ITEMS

Most everyday, the Jackson Police Department takes reports of lost and found property. Found property under $50, is held for thirty (30) days, and if by that time, no one has claimed it, we disgard the item. Property with a value of $50 or more, we are required by State Statute (WSS 7-2-105) to maintain possession of it until the owner is found. If no owner comes forward we must petition the court to sell the property at auction or discard it.

Below is a list of property items brought into the Police Department. Pictures of some of the items accompany the details. If you recognize any of the property as yours, please contact Kiley Campbell at 307-733-1430 ext 1216. Be prepared to "prove" it is yours by receipt, pictures, witnesses, etc.
