The CSO unit is a small division with the police department supervised by Sergeant Steve Saez, a 15 year veteran of the department. Sergeant Saez joined the department after retiring from the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, where he served as a supervisor for more than 20 years. He is joined by CSO Jared Weston and Thomas Quinn.
The unit is responsible for providing support services to all the other units in the department as well as specific assignments in:
- Animal control in the Town of Jackson city limits
- Parking enforcement in the downtown area
- Code enforcement for the Town of Jackson
- Transportation to retrieve towed or impounded vehicles
- Special event set-up and take down
- Abandoned vehicle removal from your property
- Education on topics such as shoplifting and child safety
- The Community Service Unit also takes requests for placement of radar trailers in your neighborhood and live animal traps.
MISSION
To provide a seamless, effective, partnership across all levels of citizen / government interactions in order to enhance the quality of the life of residents and visitors. The CSO division operates with a customer focused application of the municipal codes and ordinances to help steward the resources of our valley and the resources provide by our citizens.
