In June of 2006 the JPD received information from an informant, that a male suspect confessed to this person that he murder a man in Jackson Wyoming in approximately 1992 or 1993. The suspect indicated that he killed the man after a heated argument in an alleyway by striking the man with a tire iron.
A male body was recovered in 1998 near Cache Creek, in which the manner of death and identity of the victim has never been determined. It is unknown if the recovery of this body is related to this report, but is being investigated by JPD Detectives as a possible link.
The Jackson Police Department is interested in speaking with anyone who may have additional information about this case or may know of anyone who might be a missing person from the area.
